Now when the king was settled in his house, and the Lord had given him rest from all his enemies around him,


All Judah rejoiced over the oath; for they had sworn with all their heart, and had sought him with their whole desire, and he was found by them, and the Lord gave them rest all around.


You will lie down, and no one will make you afraid; many will entreat your favor.


When he is quiet, who can condemn? When he hides his face, who can behold him, whether it be a nation or an individual?—


From the heavens you uttered judgment; the earth feared and was still


When the ways of people please the Lord, he causes even their enemies to be at peace with them.


If you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.


And I will grant peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and no one shall make you afraid; I will remove dangerous animals from the land, and no sword shall go through your land.
