He said, “O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and steadfast love for your servants who walk before you with all their heart,


“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Even heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, much less this house that I have built!


“And now, O Lord, as for the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, let it be established forever, and do as you have promised.


O Lord God, let your promise to my father David now be fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.


Confirm to your servant your promise, which is for those who fear you.


Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope.


Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
