The Spirit of God came on Azariah son of Oded.


For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit you warned them through your prophets. Yet they paid no attention, so you gave them into the hands of the neighbouring peoples.


But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?’


‘Alas, Sovereign Lord,’ I said, ‘I do not know how to speak; I am too young.’


Then Jeremiah told Baruch, ‘I am restricted; I am not allowed to go to the Lord’s temple.


A young man ran and told Moses, ‘Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.’
