But to the wicked person, God says: ‘What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips?


and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, ‘See that no-one knows about this.’


‘What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are – the Holy One of God!’


The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.


and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.


When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. ‘You deaf and mute spirit,’ he said, ‘I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.’


‘Be quiet!’ Jesus said sternly. ‘Come out of him!’ Then the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without injuring him.


Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, ‘You are the Son of God!’ But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah.


She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, ‘These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.’
