Then I said, ‘Here I am, I have come – it is written about me in the scroll.


‘I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,’ says the Lord Almighty.


This is the one about whom it is written: ‘ “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.”


‘In Bethlehem in Judea,’ they replied, ‘for this is what the prophet has written:


The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.’
