Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, ‘Amen!’ Praise the Lord.

Once more the humble will rejoice in the Lord; the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.


When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.


And this was his message: ‘After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.


Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.


When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, ‘So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.’
