And you shall sanctify them so that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them shall be holy.
If one carries holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and touches his skirt to bread, or boiled food, or wine, or oil, or any food, will it become holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifies the gold?
And, Whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is a debtor!
Therefore whoever shall swear by the altar swears by it, and by all things on it.
