Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to An´ti-och with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:


Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:


Now when they had passed through Amphip´olis and Apollo´ni-a, they came to Thessaloni´ca, where was a synagogue of the Jews:


For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silva´nus and Timothy, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
