And Jo´ab fell to the ground on his face, and bowed himself, and thanked the king: and Jo´ab said, Today thy servant knoweth that I have found grace in thy sight, my lord, O king, in that the king hath fulfilled the request of his servant.


And when the woman of Teko´a spake to the king, she fell on her face to the ground, and did obeisance, and said, Help, O king.


And the king said unto the woman, Go to thine house, and I will give charge concerning thee.


And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, Today shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

Now when Mephib´osheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephib´osheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!


Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.


And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.


He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.


He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbor cometh and searcheth him.


Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.


One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
