Then thine handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the Lord thy God will be with thee.


to fetch about this form of speech hath thy servant Jo´ab done this thing: and my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.


And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, Today shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.


Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephib´osheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.


And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.


So Mephib´osheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king's table; and was lame on both his feet.


And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.


Whoso privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I cut off: him that hath a high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.


He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor.


Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.


Take ye heed every one of his neighbor, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will walk with slanders.


And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding, the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
