But the Lord was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.


And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.


And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaph´nath–paane´ah; and he gave him to wife As´enath the daughter of Potiphe´rah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.


And they arose out of Mid´i-an, and came to Paran: and they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, unto Pharaoh king of Egypt; which gave him a house, and appointed him victuals, and gave him land.


And the sister of Tah´penes bare him Genu´bath his son, whom Tah´penes weaned in Pharaoh's house: and Genu´bath was in Pharaoh's household among the sons of Pharaoh.


and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.


and when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.
