And he that blasphemes the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemes the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.


But the soul that does anything presumptuously, whether he is born in the land, or is a stranger, the same reproaches the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.


Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.


For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.


You have heard the blasphemy: what think you? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.


Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies whatever they shall blaspheme:


But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit has never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal judgment:


For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,


And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
