And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.


And the LORD smelled a sweet odor; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done.


Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? no one.


How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?


Incline my heart unto your testimonies, and not to covetousness.


[To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.


They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that does good, no, not one.


[To the Chief Musician upon mahalath. A maschil. A Song of David.] The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that does good.


Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that does good, no, not one.


The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the boundary of the widow.


Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.


In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.


Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.


And you have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, you walk everyone after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:


The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?


O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?


Thus says the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into your mind, and you shall think an evil thought:


For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:


And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Why think you evil in your hearts?


And he said, That which came out of the man, that defiles the man.


Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:


And he said unto them, You are they who justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.


While it remained, was it not your own? and after it was sold, was it not in your own power? why have you conceived this thing in your heart? you have not lied unto men, but unto God.


Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.


For when we were in the flesh, the passions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.


But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, worked in me all manner of covetousness. For without the law sin was dead.


Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:


For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.


Are you not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
