All these things spake Jesus in parables to the crowds; and without a parable spake he not to them.


And when he was alone, they about him with the twelve asked him of the parable.


And with many such parables spake he the word to them, as they were able to hear.


And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained clearly to them in all the writings concerning himself.


This proverb spake Jesus to then: and they knew not what things they were which he spake th them.


These have I spoken to you in proverbs: but the hour comes, when I shall no more speak to you in proverbs, but with freedom of speech will I announce to you of the Father.


And having appointed him a day, many came to him to the lodging; to whom testifying, he set forth the kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses, and the prophets, from morn to eve.
