Sichon king of the Amori, `Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Kena`an,
Many bulls have surrounded me. Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.
The mountains of Bashan are majestic mountains. The mountains of Bashan are rugged.
The Lord said, *I will bring you again from Bashan, I will bring you again from the depths of the sea;
The land mourns and languishes. Levanon is confounded and withers away. Sharon is like a desert, and Bashan and Karmel are stripped bare.
Of the oaks of Bashan have they made your oars; they have made your benches of ivory inlaid in boxwood, from the islands of Kittim.
You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
Listen to this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Shomron, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who tell their lords, *Bring, and let us drink.*
Moshe gave to them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Re'uven, and to the half-tribe of Menasheh the son of Yosef, the kingdom of Sichon king of the Amori, and the kingdom of `Og king of Bashan, the land, according to the cities of it with [their] borders, even the cities of the land round about.
after he had struck Sichon the king of the Amori, who lived in Cheshbon, and `Og the king of Bashan, who lived in `Ashtarot, at Edre`i.
But Sichon king of Cheshbon would not let us pass by him; for the LORD your God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into your hand, as at this day.
When you came to this place, Sichon the king of Cheshbon, and `Og the king of Bashan, came out against us to battle, and we struck them:
Butter of the herd, and milk of the flock, with fat of lambs, rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the finest of the wheat. Of the blood of the grape you drank wine.
They took his land in possession, and the land of `Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amori, who were beyond the Yarden toward the sunrise;
and the border of `Og king of Bashan, of the remnant of the Refa'im, who lived at `Ashtarot and at Edre`i,
all the kingdom of `Og in Bashan, who reigned in `Ashtarot and in Edre`i (the same was left of the remnant of the Refa'im); for these did Moshe strike, and drove them out.
Their border was from Machanayim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of `Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Ya'ir, which are in Bashan, sixty cities:
and all that he did to the two kings of the Amori, who were beyond the Yarden, to Sichon king of Cheshbon, and to `Og king of Bashan, who was at `Ashtarot.
