In the fourteenth year Kedorla`omer came, and the kings who were with him, and struck the Refa'im in `Ashterot-Karnayim, and the Zuzim in Cham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiryatayim,


Moreover you gave them kingdoms and peoples, which you did allot after their portions: so they possessed the land of Sichon, even the land of the king of Cheshbon, and the land of `Og king of Bashan.


Sichon king of the Amori, `Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Kena`an,


Beyond the Yarden, in the land of Mo'av, began Moshe to declare this law, saying,


I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemot to Sichon king of Cheshbon with words of shalom, saying,


Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and `Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edre`i.


We utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sichon king of Cheshbon, utterly destroying every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones.


They took his land in possession, and the land of `Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amori, who were beyond the Yarden toward the sunrise;
