8 Tagairtí Cros

The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:

In vain have I struck your children; they received no correction: your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

*Woe to you, scribes and Perushim, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and decorate the tombs of the righteous,

Therefore you testify to yourselves that you are children of those who killed the prophets.

Consider Yisra'el according to the flesh. Don't those who eat the sacrifices have communion with the altar?

Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so also are you of the comfort.
