Behold, I will send you Eliyahu the prophet before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes.
They said, *Some say Yochanan the immerser, some, Eliyahu, and others, Yirmeyahu, or one of the prophets.*
The multitudes said, *This is the prophet, Yeshua, from Natzeret of the Galil.*
But Herod, when he heard this, said, *This is Yochanan, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.*
They told him, *Yochanan the immerser, and others say Eliyahu, but others: one of the prophets.*
He will go before him in the spirit and power of Eliyahu, 'to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,' and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.*
Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, *A great prophet has arisen among us!* and, *God has visited his people!*
Now when the Parush who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, *This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.*
They answered, *'Yochanan the immerser,' but others say, 'Eliyahu,' and others, that one of the old prophets is risen again.*
and by some that Eliyahu had appeared, and by others that one of the old prophets had risen again.
They asked him, *What then? Are you Eliyahu?* He said, *I am not.* *Are you the Prophet?* He answered, *No.*
They asked him, *Why then do you immerse, if you are not the Messiah, nor Eliyahu, nor the Prophet?*
When therefore the people saw the sign which Yeshua did, they said, *This is truly the prophet who comes into the world.*
Many of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, *This is truly the prophet.*
Therefore they asked the blind man again, *What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?* He said, *He is a prophet.*
