*As God lives, who has taken away my right, the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter.


They shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and you shall be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.


and you shall swear, As the LORD lives, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.


and tell them, Thus says the Lord GOD: In the day when I chose Yisra'el, and swore to the seed of the house of Ya`akov, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am the LORD your God;


I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, whose thighs were girded with pure gold of Ufaz:


The king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former; and he shall come on at the end of the times, [even of] years, with a great army and with much substance.


One said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?


I heard, but I didn't understand: then said I, my lord, what shall be the issue of these things?


While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from the sky, [saying], O king Nevukhadnetzar 1, to you it is spoken: The kingdom is departed from you:


At the end of the days I, Nevukhadnetzar 1, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Elyon, and I praised and honored him who lives forever; for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom from generation to generation.


I saw, and the same horn made war with the holy ones, and prevailed against them;


He shall speak words against the Elyon, and shall wear out the holy ones of the Elyon; and he shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.


He said to me, To two thousand and three hundred evenings [and] mornings; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.


His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper and do [his pleasure]; and he shall destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.


Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand how to answer,


They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Yerushalayim will be trampled down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.


and to make you high above all nations that he has made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that you may be a holy people to the LORD your God, as he has spoken.


For the LORD will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that [their] power is gone, There is none [remaining], shut up or left at large.


For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live forever,


For you are a holy people to the LORD your God: the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.


But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:


Two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, so that she might be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.


The woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that there they may nourish her one thousand two hundred sixty days.


A mouth speaking great things and blasphemy was given to him. Authority to make war for forty-two months was given to him.
