He closed the book, gave it back to the shammash, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.


Yeshua said to her, *Didn't I tell you that if you believed, you would see God's glory?*


When Yeshua saw him lying there, and knew that he had been sick for a long time, he asked him, *Do you want to be made well?*


He, fastening his eyes on him, and being frightened, said, *What is it, Lord?* He said to him, *Your prayers and your gifts to the needy have gone up for a memorial before God.


When I had looked intently at it, I considered, and saw the four-footed animals of the earth, wild animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky.


Kefa and Yochanan were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.


As the lame man who was healed held on to Kefa and Yochanan, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Shlomo's, greatly wondering.


When Kefa saw it, he responded to the people, *You men of Yisra'el, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?


Seeing Kefa and Yochanan about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy.


He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.
