Will God hear his cry when trouble comes on him?


Then will they call on me, but I will not answer. They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me;


When you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.


In that day, people will look to their Maker, and their eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Yisra'el.


They will not look to the altars, the work of their hands; neither shall they respect that which their fingers have made, either the Asherim, or the incense altars.


Son of man, speak to the elders of Yisra'el, and tell them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Is it to inquire of me that you have come? As I live, says the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you.
