Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
Eliyahu answered to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from the sky, and consume you and your fifty. Fire came down from the sky, and consumed him and his fifty.

Take therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no manner of form on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Chorev out of the midst of the fire.
Did ever a people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and live?
