My eye has grown dim from vexation, and all my members are like a shadow.


For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling;


Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God.


Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God! O men of blood, depart from me!


The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones waste away.

In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
