And David danced before the Lord with all his might. And David was wearing a linen ephod.


As the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, and she despised him in her heart.


Heman and Jeduthun had trumpets and cymbals for the music and instruments for sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were appointed to the gate.


They were all under the direction of their father in the music in the house of the Lord with cymbals, harps, and lyres for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the order of the king.


They came to Jerusalem with harps and lyres and trumpets, to the house of the Lord.


And he stationed the Levites in the house of the Lord with cymbals, harps, and lyres, according to the commandment of David and of Gad the king’s seer and of Nathan the prophet, for the commandment was from the Lord through his prophets.


And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests in their vestments came forward with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord, according to the directions of David king of Israel.


You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,


Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings!


Raise a song; sound the tambourine, the sweet lyre with the harp.


Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.


Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you.”
