“I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I gaze at a virgin?


I hate the double-minded, but I love your law.


Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.


But those who turn aside to their crooked ways the Lord will lead away with evildoers! Peace be upon Israel!


I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies.


They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.


The words of his mouth are trouble and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good.


I said, “I will guard my ways, that I may not sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth with a muzzle, so long as the wicked are in my presence.”

A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech,


winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger,

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.


Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.


But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?


None of the devoted things shall stick to your hand, that the Lord may turn from the fierceness of his anger and show you mercy and have compassion on you and multiply you, as he swore to your fathers,
