Ecclesiastes 11:1

honey and curds and sheep and cheese from the herd, for David and the people with him to eat, for they said, “The people are hungry and weary and thirsty in the wilderness.”


The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.


Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.


Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.


In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.


a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;


Happy are you who sow beside all waters, who let the feet of the ox and the donkey range free.


But he who is noble plans noble things, and on noble things he stands.


But in the fifth year you may eat of its fruit, to increase its yield for you: I am the Lord your God.


And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.


And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”


So also he who had the two talents made two talents more.


And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’


and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”


The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.


For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
