And God said to people,\par “Fear and respect the Lord—\par that is wisdom.\par Don’t do evil things—\par that is understanding.”\par
Wisdom and understanding will stop you from living the wrong way like evil people. Those people are evil even in the things they say.
Don’t depend on your own wisdom. But respect the Lord and stay away from evil.
“A person’s mind is very tricky!\par The mind can be very sick,\par and no person truly understands it.\par
Why is this true? Because if a person’s thinking is controlled by his sinful self, then that person is against God. That person refuses to obey God’s law. And really that person is not able to obey God’s law.
But if any of you needs wisdom, then you should ask God for it. God is generous. He enjoys giving to all people. So God will give you wisdom.
