Jesus ate dinner at Matthew’s house. Many tax collectors {\cf2\super [103]} and other bad people came and ate with Jesus and his followers.


Some of the teachers of the law heard this. They said to themselves, “This man (Jesus) talks like he is God—that is blasphemy. {\cf2\super [101]} ”


“Why does this man say things like that? He is saying things that are against God. Only God can forgive sins.”
