Then Jesus said to the people, “I tell you, my friends, don’t be afraid of people. People can kill the body, but after that they can do nothing more to hurt you.


“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.


I am making myself ready to serve. I do this for them, so that they can truly be ready for your service.


Live a life of love. Love other people the same as Christ loved us. Christ gave himself for us—he was a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice {\cf2\super [37]} to God.


This is how we know what real love is: Jesus gave his life for us. So we should give our lives for our brothers and sisters \{in Christ\}.
