Abraham bowed his face to the ground {to show he respected God}. But he laughed and said to himself, “I am 100 years old. I can’t have a son. And Sarah is 90 years old. She can’t have a child.”


My lord and king, I came to say these words to you. Why? Because the people made me afraid. I said to myself, ‘I will talk to the king. Maybe the king will help me.


I know that the words of my lord the king will give me rest, because you are like an angel from God. You know what is good and what is bad. And the Lord your God is with you.”


Then Satan went away from the Lord. Satan gave Job painful sores. The painful sores were all over Job’s body from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head.


In the city you can hear\par the sad sounds of the dying people.\par Those hurt people cry out for help.\par But God does not listen.\par


Job, think about this:\par No innocent person was ever destroyed.\par Good people are never destroyed.\par


God doesn’t abandon innocent people.\par He doesn’t help evil people.\par


God, all day long we died for you!\par We were like sheep being led away\par to be killed.\par


Why? Because it is not just a test! You refused to be punished with the wooden stick, so what \{else should I use to punish you\}? \{Yes, the sword.\}’” The Lord my Master said those things.
