You must sacrifice the Passover animal only at the place that the Lord your God will choose to be his special house. There you must sacrifice the Passover animal in the evening when the sun goes down. This is the holiday when you remember that God brought you out of Egypt.

“Make a special altar [130] for me. Use dirt to make this altar. Offer burnt offerings and fellowship offerings on this altar as a sacrifice [131] to me. Use your sheep and your cattle to do this. Do this in every place where I tell you to remember me. Then I will come and bless you.


That person will still be able to celebrate Passover {at another time}. That person must celebrate Passover at twilight [144] on the 14th day of the second month. At that time, he must eat the lamb, the bread made without yeast, and the bitter herbs.

In the evening Jesus was at the table with the twelve followers.


The Lord your God will choose a special place among your family groups. The Lord will put his name there. That will be his special house. You must go to that place to worship him.


“You must not sacrifice the Passover animal in any of the towns that the Lord your God gives you.


If Christ had offered himself many times, then he would have needed to suffer many times since the time the world was made. But Christ came \{and offered himself\} only once.
