Is this your jubilant city, whose origin was in ancient times, whose feet have taken her to reside far away?


All who pass by scornfully clap their hands  at you. They hiss  and shake their heads at Daughter Jerusalem: Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?


When he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was in an uproar, saying, ‘Who is this? ’


‘Don’t call me Naomi. Call me Mara,’  she answered, ‘for the Almighty  has made me very bitter.


The servant answered, ‘She is the young Moabite woman who returned with Naomi from the territory of Moab.
