Matthew 22:32
9 Tagairtí Cros

At the time for offering the evening sacrifice,  the prophet Elijah approached the altar and said, ‘Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel,  today let it be known  that you are God in Israel and I am your servant, and that at your word I have done all these things.

Then he continued, ‘I am the God of your father,  the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’  Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read what was spoken to you by God:

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors,  has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied before Pilate,  though he had decided to release him.

I am the God of your ancestors #– #the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob.   , Moses began to tremble and did not dare to look.

But they now desire a better place #– #a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
