On that day the deaf will hear the words of a document, and out of a deep darkness the eyes of the blind will see.
Just as they were going out, a demon-possessed man who was unable to speak was brought to him.
They were all amazed, and so they began to ask each other, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! , He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.’
Immediately he got up, took the mat, and went out in front of everyone. As a result, they were all astounded and gave glory to God, saying, ‘We have never seen anything like this! ’
And they were terrified , and asked one another, ‘Who then is this? Even the wind and the sea obey him! ’
Immediately the girl got up and began to walk. (She was twelve years old.) At this they were utterly astounded.
Then he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. They were completely astounded,
He ordered them to tell no one, but the more he ordered them, the more they proclaimed it.
In those days there was again a large crowd, and they had nothing to eat. He called the disciples and said to them,
We are punished justly, because we’re getting back what we deserve for the things we did, but this man has done nothing wrong.’
When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted, saying in the Lycaonian language, ‘The gods have come down to us in human form! ’
