Mark 14:50
11 Tagairtí Cros

I trampled the winepress alone, and no one from the nations was with me. I trampled them in my anger and ground them underfoot in my fury; their blood spattered my garments, and all my clothes were stained.

Then  Jesus said to them, ‘All of you will fall away,   because it is written: I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep   will be scattered.   ,

Every day I was among you, teaching in the temple,   and you didn’t arrest me. But the Scriptures   must be fulfilled.’

Now a certain young man, wearing nothing but a linen cloth, was following him. They caught hold of him,

Indeed, an hour is coming, and has come,   when each of you will be scattered to his own home, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

‘I told you I am he,’ Jesus replied. ‘So if you’re looking for me, let these men go.’

At my first defence, no one stood by me, but everyone deserted me.  May it not be counted against them.
