But stretch out your hand and strike  everything he owns, and he will surely curse you to your face.’

‘Then he will also say to those on the left, “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels!


When he saw Jesus, he cried out,  fell down before him, and said in a loud voice, ‘What do you have to do with me,  Jesus, Son of the Most High God?  I beg you, don’t torment me! ’


A large herd of pigs was there, feeding on the hillside. The demons begged him to permit them to enter the pigs, and he gave them permission.


or, ‘Who will go down into the abyss? ’   , that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.


When they finish their testimony, the beast  that comes up out of the abyss  will make war on them, conquer them, and kill them.


The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up from the abyss  and go to destruction.  Those who live on the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world  will be astonished when they see the beast that was, and is not, and is to come.


But the beast was taken prisoner, and along with it the false prophet, who had performed the signs in its presence. He deceived those who accepted the mark of the beast and those who worshipped its image with these signs.  Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulphur.


They had as their king  the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon,  , and in Greek he has the name Apollyon.
