20 But the beast was taken prisoner, and along with it the false prophet, who had performed the signs in its presence. He deceived those who accepted the mark of the beast and those who worshipped its image with these signs.  Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulphur.

Then out of the sky the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah burning sulphur from the Lord.


Nothing he owned remains in his tent. Burning sulphur  is scattered over his home.


Indeed! Topheth has been ready for the king for a long time. Its funeral pyre is deep and wide, with plenty of fire and wood. The breath of the Lord,  like a torrent of burning sulphur, kindles it.


Edom’s streams will be turned into pitch, her soil into sulphur; her land will become burning pitch.


Take the choicest of the flock and also pile up the fuel  under it. Bring it to a boil and cook the bones in it.


I will execute judgement on him with plague and bloodshed. I will pour out torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulphur on him, as well as his troops and the many peoples who are with him.


He will pitch his royal tents between the sea and  the beautiful holy mountain,  but he will meet his end with no one to help him.


His power will be great, but it will not be his own. He will cause outrageous destruction and succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the powerful along with the holy people.


The vision of the evenings and the mornings that has been told is true. Now you are to seal up the vision because it refers to many days in the future.’


‘Be on your guard against false prophets   who come to you in sheep’s   clothing   but inwardly are ravaging wolves.


All its soil will be a burning waste of sulphur and salt, unsown, producing nothing, with no plant growing on it, just like the fall of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord demolished in his fierce anger.


but they captured the king of Ai alive and brought him to Joshua.


he will also drink the wine of God’s wrath, which is poured full strength into the cup of his anger.  He will be tormented with fire and sulphur  in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb,


The ten horns you saw are ten kings  who have not yet received a kingdom, but they will receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour.


Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies  gathered together to wage war  against the rider on the horse and against his army.


The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet are,  and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.


But the cowards, faithless,  detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars   #– #their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur,  which is the second death.’


Outside are the dogs,   the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practises falsehood.


This is how I saw the horses and their riders in the vision: They had breastplates that were fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulphur yellow. The heads of the horses were like the heads of lions, and from their mouths came fire, smoke, and sulphur.
