Because he has done this thing and shown no pity, he must pay four lambs for that lamb.’


Do not give false testimony against your neighbour.


Still, if caught, he must pay seven times as much; he must give up all the wealth in his house.


he returns collateral, makes restitution for what he has stolen, and walks in the statutes of life  without committing injustice #– #he will certainly live; he will not die.


The person is to confess  the sin he has committed. He is to pay full compensation, add a fifth of its value to it, and give it to the individual he has wronged.


But give from what is within to the poor,   , and then everything is clean   for you.


Sell   your possessions and give to the poor.   Make money-bags   for yourselves that won’t grow old, an inexhaustible treasure   in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.


And I tell you, make friends   for yourselves by means of worldly wealth   , so that when it fails, they may welcome you into eternal dwellings.


All who saw it began to complain,  ‘He’s gone to stay with a sinful man.’


When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her  and said, ‘Don’t weep.’


and sent them to the Lord, asking, ‘Are you the one  who is to come, or should we expect someone else? ’


Here I am. Bring charges against me before the Lord and his anointed: Whose ox or donkey have I taken?  Who have I wronged or mistreated? Who gave me a bribe to overlook something?  , I will return it to you.’
