So, departing quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to tell his disciples the news.


Truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn,   but the world will rejoice. You will become sorrowful,   but your sorrow will turn to joy.


So you also have sorrow   now. But I will see you again. Your hearts will rejoice,   and no one will take away your joy from you.


But one of the soldiers pierced  his side  with a spear, and at once blood and water  came out.


So the other disciples were telling him, ‘We’ve seen the Lord! ’ But he said to them, ‘If I don’t see the mark of the nails in his hands, put my finger into the mark of the nails,  and put my hand into his side,  I will never believe.’


Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here and look at my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Don’t be faithless, but believe.’
