Jesus replied, ‘You unbelieving and perverse generation, how long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him here to me.’


He replied to them, ‘You unbelieving   generation, how long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him to me.’


Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself!   Touch me and see,   because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.’


Having said this, he showed them his hands and feet.


Jesus replied, ‘You unbelieving and perverse   generation,   how long will I be with you and put up with you?   Bring your son here.’


Having said this, he showed them his hands and his side.  So the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.


So the other disciples were telling him, ‘We’ve seen the Lord! ’ But he said to them, ‘If I don’t see the mark of the nails in his hands, put my finger into the mark of the nails,  and put my hand into his side,  I will never believe.’


Thomas responded to him, ‘My Lord and my God! ’


The law came along to multiply the trespass.  But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even more,
