But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.
Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth. It is for your benefit that I go away, because if I don’t go away the Counsellor will not come to you. If I go, I will send him to you.
Jesus said to them, ‘If God were your Father, you would love me, because I came from God and I am here. For I didn’t come on my own, but he sent me.
While he was with them, he commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father’s promise. ‘Which,’ he said, ‘you have heard me speak about;
And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he also did to us.
