He is a well-watered plant in the sunshine; his shoots spread out over his garden.


Anyone trusting in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage.


The Lord will always lead you, satisfy you in a parched land, and strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose water never runs dry.


to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the  Lord to glorify him.


Indeed, I will certainly deliver you so that you do not fall by the sword. Because you have trusted in me, you will retain your life like the spoils of war.  This is the Lord’s declaration.” ’


Think of Assyria, a cedar in Lebanon, with beautiful branches and shady foliage and of lofty height. Its top was among the clouds.


All kinds of trees providing food will grow along both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail.  Each month they will bear fresh fruit because the water comes from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be used for eating and their leaves for healing.’
