‘I have kept silent from ages past; I have been quiet and restrained myself. But now, I will groan like a woman in labour, gasping breathlessly.


Look down from heaven and see from your lofty home #– #holy and beautiful. Where is your zeal and your might? Your yearning  and your compassion are withheld from me.


Look, it is written in front of me: I will not keep silent,  but I will repay; I will repay them fully


Then the angel of the Lord responded, ‘How long, Lord of Armies, will you withhold mercy from Jerusalem and the cities of Judah that you have been angry with these seventy years? ’


They cried out with a loud voice, ‘Lord,  the one who is holy and true,  how long until you judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?   ’
