Judah said to his brothers, ‘What do we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?


Come on, let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay a hand on him, for he is our brother, our own flesh,’ and his brothers agreed.


When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not bring themselves to speak peaceably to him.


But Joseph said to them, ‘Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?


But this is not what he intends; this is not what he plans. It is his intent to destroy and to cut off many nations.


Though he was delivered up according to God’s determined plan and foreknowledge, you used  lawless people to nail him to a cross and kill him.


God raised up his servant  and sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.’


We know that all things work together  for the good  of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
