Before they went to bed, the men of the city of Sodom, both young and old, the whole population, surrounded the house.


Lot went out to them at the entrance and shut the door behind him.


Look, I’ve got two daughters who haven’t been intimate with a man.  I’ll bring them out to you, and you can do whatever you want  to them. However, don’t do anything to these men, because they have come under the protection of my roof.’


You are not to sleep with a man as with a woman;  it is detestable.


If a man sleeps with a man as with a woman,  they have both committed a detestable act.  They must be put to death; their death is their own fault.


From one man  he has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live.


Therefore God delivered them over in the desires of their hearts  to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves.


‘No Israelite woman is to be a cult prostitute, and no Israelite man is to be a cult prostitute.


Likewise, Sodom and Gomorrah  and the surrounding towns committed sexual immorality and perversions,  and serve as an example by undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.


The owner of the house went out and said to them, ‘Please don’t do this evil, my brothers. After all, this man has come into my house. Don’t commit this horrible outrage.


Gaal son of Ebed came with his brothers and crossed into Shechem, and the citizens of Shechem trusted him.
