I will bless her; indeed, I will give you a son by her. I will bless her, and she will produce nations; kings of peoples will come from her.’
But I will confirm my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this time next year.’
I will confirm my covenant that is between me and you and your future offspring throughout their generations. It is a permanent covenant to be your God and the God of your offspring after you.
Sarah said, ‘God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears will laugh with me.’ ,
The Lord appeared to him and said, ‘Do not go down to Egypt. Live in the land that I tell you about;
stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you. For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring, and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.
The bow will be in the clouds, and I will look at it and remember the permanent covenant between God and all the living creatures on earth.’
to Abraham and his descendants for ever, just as he spoke to our ancestors.
By faith even Sarah herself, when she was unable to have children, received power to conceive offspring, even though she was past the age, since she considered that the one who had promised was faithful.
