Genesis 15:3

I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.


I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth,  so that if anyone could count the dust of the earth, then your offspring could be counted.


When Abram heard that his relative had been taken prisoner, he assembled  his 318 trained men, born in his household,  and they went in pursuit as far as Dan.


But Abram said, ‘Lord God, what can you give me, since I am childless and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus? ’


Hope delayed makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.

an unloved woman when she marries, and a servant girl when she ousts her queen.


I acquired male and female servants and had slaves who were born in my house.  I also owned livestock #– #large herds and flocks #– #more than all who were before me in Jerusalem.


You will be righteous, Lord, even if I bring a case against you. Yet I wish to contend with you: Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all the treacherous live at ease?
