But I myself said: I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and futility; yet my vindication is with the  Lord, and my reward is with my God.


They went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia; they had been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.


Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work,  because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.


I went up according to a revelation  and presented to them the gospel I preach among the Gentiles, but did so privately to those recognised as leaders. I wanted to be sure I was not running, and had not been running, in vain.


You are observing special days, months, seasons, and years.


I beg you, brothers and sisters: Become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You have not wronged me;


I would like to be with you here and now and change my tone of voice, because I don’t know what to do about you.


by holding firm to the word  of life. Then I can boast  in the day of Christ  that I didn’t run or labour for nothing.


For this reason, when I could no longer stand it, I also sent him to find out about your faith, fearing that the tempter had tempted you and that our labour might be for nothing.


Watch yourselves so that you don’t lose what we  have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward.
