Why do you bring a case against me? All of you have rebelled against me. This is the  Lord’s declaration.


He answered, ‘Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know,   but it has not been given to them.


Don’t be afraid,   little flock,   because your Father delights   to give you the kingdom.


Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth  to people he favours!  ,,


When the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and honoured the word of the Lord, and all who had been appointed to eternal life believed.


Though he was delivered up according to God’s determined plan and foreknowledge, you used  lawless people to nail him to a cross and kill him.


to do whatever your hand and your will had predestined to take place.


I don’t want you to be ignorant  of this mystery,  brothers and sisters, so that you will not be conceited:  A partial hardening has come upon Israel  until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.


We know that all things work together  for the good  of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.


For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of what is preached.


For I did not receive it from a human source and I was not taught it, but it came by a revelation  of Jesus Christ.


But when God, who from my mother’s womb set me apart and called  me by his grace, was pleased


to reveal his Son  in me, so that I could preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone.


In him we have also received an inheritance,  because we were predestined  according to the plan of the one who works out everything in agreement with the purpose of his will,


that he richly poured out on us with all wisdom and understanding.


This is according to his eternal purpose  accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.


And most certainly, the mystery of godliness  is great: He  was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed  on in the world, taken up in glory.


He has saved us and called us with a holy calling,  not according to our works,  but according to his own purpose  and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
