Then  Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: ‘The Lord, the God of Israel says, “I have heard your prayer  to me about King Sennacherib of Assyria.”


The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the  Lord, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.


I am my love’s, and his desire  is for me.


Even if these three men   #– #Noah,  Daniel,  and Job   #– #were in it, they would rescue only themselves by their righteousness.’ This is the declaration of the Lord God.


‘Son of man, I am about to take the delight of your eyes  away from you with a fatal blow. But you must not lament or weep or let your tears flow.


They will take your wealth as spoil and plunder your merchandise.  They will also demolish your walls and tear down your beautiful homes. Then they will throw your stones, timber, and soil into the water.


In the third year of King Cyrus of Persia,  a message was revealed to Daniel, who was named Belteshazzar.  The message was true and was about a great conflict. He understood the message and had understanding of the vision.


He said, ‘Don’t be afraid,  you who are  treasured by God.  Peace to you; be very strong! ’ As he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, ‘Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.’


Daniel  distinguished himself above the administrators and satraps because he had an extraordinary spirit,  so the king planned to set him over the whole realm.


‘So when you see the abomination of desolation,   spoken of by the prophet Daniel,   standing in the holy place’   (let the reader understand),


And the angel came to her and said, ‘Greetings, favoured woman! The Lord is with you.’
